Nawalapitiya

Nawalapitiya is a town in the hill country of Sri Lanka. It is in the Kandy administrative district, 38 kilometers away from Kandy. The town is near the Mahaweli Ganga. Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and thespian M.G. Ramachandran was born here. one of the coldest areas in sri lanka. this is an area for tea plantation.
